The rear magnesium housing embossed Lotus is similar to Elva who probably used the same supplier, and they just modified embossing for whoever they were providing this cool housing to. This chassis has been heavily modified with roll over protection and external chassis stiffening. You are correct that it is most likely a MkII based on cowl, pedal box and stamped front A-Arms. MkIII had the engine moved back 5 inches making the cowl shorter and the pedal box longer along with tubular front A-Arms.

In regards to the Mystery Elva MK11 chassis. You are welcome to call me at 269-228-0096 to discuss more. I collect information on Front Engine Elva Sports Racers owners / history. Do you have a chassis S/N usually found with alluminium tag on inboard tube near pedal box.
