Just A Little Job...

Posted on: Tuesday July 24, 2007

I got rear ended about 2 weeks ago by a coworker. Never liked him much anyway. Anyway I got an estimate, and ordered the parts. While I waited on the parts, I decided it would be time to refresh the wiring. As I have been doing it, I have found more and more wires that were damaged, and many calls to British wiring later I now have enough to mostly finish the job. I still lack the main Green/Pink, and the White/Black to finish it. Those are on back order. I will jumper the GK one for now,...

Problems

Posted on: Thursday May 24, 2007

Well it has been a while, so I will catch up. First I decided to see if I could keep it from clattering badly on start up I swapped the FRAM oil filter with a MOBIL 1. I was afraid the cable had stretched, but I soon discovered it was nothing more than the locking nut had loosened up, so I got out my leatherman and tightened it up. I also got a set screw to lock down the heater control knob. I found a #8 worked, if I drilled out the knob, but I really needed a 1/4" long...

Control Cables

Posted on: Sunday April 1, 2007

Well I got the heater/fan door cables last week, and this afternoon I got done with my chores, and got to get started on them. At first look the heater cable appeared to short. If I routed it the way the old one was it would be.But by routing it straight back to the firewall I was able to get it to the valve. The fan door was a bit more of a PITA. After disasembling WAY to much I figured out I could get to it from the right hand heater vent. About 6 pipes later, and at least 5 or 6 more...
